I’m very pleased to have had the privilege to be the Director of the Autoimmune Recovery Program in Brownsville, California. We have done two programs for the community thus far. It has been very exciting to share the gospel through health evangelism in such a unique way and one that is especially tailored for the times that we are living in! The Autoimmune Recovery Program is a comprehensive program for the community that offers health education which transforms lives physically but also integrates God love and health plan for His children. It is the gospel of Jesus.

The program includes incredible video health lectures, interactive group participation, powerful present truth spiritual lessons and hands on demonstrations with food tasting. This part is always a hit with everyone! Although it is so comprehensive, preparing for and presenting the actual program itself is surprisingly simple. Not only is the weekly preparation minimal, it only requires a small group to assist the day of the program.

I am very blessed to be a part of this program and the small group from the church that is supporting this special work! We are excited to continue this every three months in our community no matter how many people come from the community. This is God‘s work and we will leave that matter prayerfully in His hands. I also look forward to presenting this program in other churches, teaching the members this simple way to share the gospel with the world!

The Autoimmune Recovery Program, presented at the 2024 camp meeting in Auburn, WA, hosted 24 participants.  Autoimmune symptoms that were discussed in class, were reported by many participants, including pain, depression and discouragement.   Participants reported experiencing positive results by Day 4, felt better and were encouraged.  A majority of participants reported feeling excited about the program.

The health lectures presented by Dr. Joyce Choe, were followed by spiritual applications and food demonstrations.  Participants raved over the food samples designed by Mercy Ballard.  I heard, “This is delicious!  I can’t believe how good this is!”   One mother brought her children to the last part of class each day.  The children told me how much they liked the food.  The mother reported that they preferred the healthy food samples from class, over the cafeteria chick nuggets, previously a favorite.

Classes ended on a positive note with many class members staying late to talk and interact. Course evaluations reflected positive feedback with participants reporting a positive learning experience.  I recommend this program and look forward to facilitating it again.
